Job Summary

This Director role places you in full command of the Opto Materials Program at AIXTRON, a leader in semiconductor deposition systems. You will be responsible for the entire program lifecycle, leading an interdisciplinary team, and acting as the key interface between technical feasibility and market demands. Day-to-day, you will assess technical challenges against market requirements, evaluate project feasibility, and derive actionable projects across critical applications like Lasers, Micro LED, Telecommunication, and Solar. A core part of the role involves channeling external input from industry partners and universities to drive internal improvements and leverage synergies. This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or science field, 10 years of professional experience in Opto Materials or Technology, and proven leadership skills.
