Job Summary

This remote position offers an experienced Medicinal Chemist the opportunity to manage the entire early-phase drug discovery process for a globally leading pharmaceutical corporation. The core responsibilities include developing and implementing robust Structure-Activity-Relationship (SAR) and Structure-Property-Relationship (SPR) strategies, driving the design of innovative active ingredients, and optimizing lead structures. You will scientifically lead projects within critical indication areas, including Cardiovascular, Oncology, and Immunology, while coordinating interdisciplinary teams and integrating cross-functional data sources to support data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate holds a Ph.D. in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry and possesses extensive, long-term experience in drug discovery and design. This role allows for full remote work across Europe or the USA, requiring fluency in both German and English, and a willingness to travel occasionally to corporate sites.
