Job Summary
This role is an exciting opportunity for a technical professional, specifically a Physicist or Mechanical Engineer, to transition into intellectual property law and pursue qualification as a German and/or European Patent Attorney. Day-to-day responsibilities involve guiding new developments from concept to granted protection rights, formulating and implementing patent strategies for diverse international clients, and drafting and filing patent applications domestically and abroad. The successful candidate will also prepare responses to examination reports from German and European Patent Offices, analyze competitive landscapes, and participate in opposition and infringement proceedings. This position requires strong analytical skills, thematic flexibility, and fluent German and negotiation-level English, offering structured training and direct client contact within a highly-rated, technologically advanced law firm located in Überlingen am Bodensee.
