Job Summary
This role involves acting as both an Administrative Officer and Project Lead within the IT Steering and Digitalization Unit of the Mettmann District Administration. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the digital transformation of public services. Day-to-day tasks include leading digitalization projects, analyzing and prioritizing technical and content requirements, creating application concepts, and translating these requirements into existing system solutions. You will be responsible for planning rollout processes, optimizing business processes, and conducting system tests and acceptances. Key qualifications include proven professional experience in administrative digitalization, project leadership, and business process management, coupled with strong knowledge of public administration procedures and relevant legal frameworks (e.g., EGovG NRW, OZG). Education
Required qualification for Beamte: Eligibility for the first entry level of career group 2, Administration Informatics. Required qualification for Tariff Employees: Successful completion of the second administrative course, Digital specialization. Alternative: Comparable academic qualification (e.g., Business Economist, Computer Scientist) with relevance to the task area.
Experience
- Minimum two years of professional experience in administrative digitalization, project leadership, business process management, or IT organization (for tariff employees and comparable academic qualifications)
- Minimum two years of professional experience in administrative digitalization, project collaboration, or IT organization (for applicants currently in EG 9a TVöD roles)
- Professional experience in translating requirements into system solutions
- Experience in optimizing business processes

- Must meet specific civil service eligibility (Beamte) or administrative course completion (Tarifbeschäftigte) requirements. Willingness to quickly familiarize oneself with new task areas. High level of communication and teamwork skills.
