Job Summary

This role is for a Medical Controlling Specialist to join a modern acute care hospital in southwest Berlin. The specialist will be crucial in building a new coding team within the medical controlling department. Day-to-day tasks involve precise case-related coding in close collaboration with clinical departments, systematic analysis of patient documentation, and application of medical coding guidelines (ICD-10-GM, OPS, DKR, DRG). The role also includes independent determination of main diagnoses, DRG calculation, length of stay review, and quality assurance for documentation. The ideal candidate will support MD inquiries, process complaints, and contribute to optimizing internal coding processes.
