Job Summary

The International Max Planck Research School for Infectious Diseases and Immunology (IMPRS-IDI) is offering up to six fully funded PhD positions in Berlin. Successful candidates will join a dynamic, international, and interdisciplinary research environment, focusing on cutting-edge topics in infection biology, immunology, parasitology, and medical biotechnology. Day-to-day activities involve engaging in innovative research projects, such as studying innate immune recognition, immune-metabolic adaptation in pregnancy, or molecular pathways of NK cell memory/clonality, utilizing state-of-the-art facilities. This program seeks highly motivated individuals with a strong academic background, typically an excellent Master's degree in biological sciences, biochemistry, or related fields. The position offers an excellent scientific network, a prestigious graduate school curriculum including technical and complementary skill training, and the chance to present research internationally, all within a stimulating, multi-disciplinary campus setting in central Berlin.
