Job Summary

This crucial role as an Electrical Engineer is centered on maintaining the integrity and future viability of the Hamburg energy distribution network. Day-to-day responsibilities involve independently conducting advanced diagnostic measurements across all voltage levels—from low to high voltage—on essential operating equipment, including cables, transformers, and converters, followed by detailed result evaluation. You will be responsible for performing autonomous switchgear testing and providing expert analysis and consultation on complex technical challenges such as EMC, acoustics, grounding, or specialized measurement technology. A key aspect of the role is developing and implementing standardized measurement solutions, creating the necessary operational documentation, and actively analyzing faults to develop effective remediation strategies. Candidates must possess a completed degree in Electrical or Energy Technology, demonstrable experience in cable fault location and network operations, and proficiency in complex AC calculations. The position requires a high degree of commitment and participation in on-call duty for rapid fault clearance, making it ideal for a dedicated, problem-solving engineer.
