Job Summary

This role involves critical sample preparation and processing within a modern life sciences laboratory in Griesheim, near Darmstadt. The successful candidate will be responsible for the registration, processing, and disposal of biological and production samples, including DNA/RNA extraction, PBMC isolation, and blood fractionation. Daily tasks also encompass labeling, storage of biological materials, equipment maintenance support, and protocol documentation, utilizing process control systems like LIMS. This is a temporary position covering parental leave, expected to last approximately 1.5 years until May 2027. The role requires flexibility for shift work (alternating day and afternoon shifts, including rotating Saturday coverage) and demands excellent organizational skills, detail orientation, and fluency in English, alongside professional experience handling sterile and human samples.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a BTA (Biological Technical Assistant), MTA (Medical Technical Assistant), or Laboratory Technician. Academic degree in a scientific field is advantageous.
