Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Research Associate or Doctoral Candidate to join the newly established Professorship for Algorithmic and Structural Graph Theory at TU Dresden, one of Germany's top research institutions. The role focuses on conducting cutting-edge scientific research in theoretical computer science, specifically in the design and analysis of Graph Algorithms, with potential emphasis on parameterized algorithms, structural graph theory, and algorithmic model theory. Day-to-day tasks include publishing and presenting research at leading conferences and journals, and actively participating in teaching activities, including supporting and supervising Master's and Bachelor's students. Key requirements include an outstanding Master's degree in Computer Science or Mathematics, proven research experience, and excellent proficiency in algorithms and discrete mathematics. This position offers a three-year contract with the option for extension, providing a clear path toward obtaining a PhD (Promotion) within a globally connected, innovative university environment.
