Job Summary

This Academic Research Associate position at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences is crucial for the ILEAS project, which aims to develop an innovative, future-proof teaching architecture utilizing Artificial Intelligence. The role focuses on conceptualizing and establishing an AI Core Lab, emphasizing biotechnological measurement systems and AI-supported data analysis. Day-to-day responsibilities include the biological and technical management of the lab, designing practical experiments, creating personalized, AI-supported learning formats, and integrating classical and project-based teaching approaches. You will also conduct pilot courses, ensure compliance with data protection and ethical standards, and disseminate project results. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology or a related scientific field, possesses knowledge of AI systems and machine learning models (especially in bioanalytics), and has practical experience in designing laboratory workflows.
