Job Summary

This role is a key position within the technical purchasing department of a successful company in the mechanical engineering sector. The Technical Buyer will be responsible for managing complex Supply Chain projects, collaborating closely with development, production, and the Commodity Manager. Day-to-day tasks include independently handling Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, sourcing materials for prototypes, and identifying suppliers across the EU and Asia. A major focus is on conducting price negotiations, utilizing open calculations, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials for new products, particularly targeting markets in Malaysia and China. Key qualifications include professional experience in procurement from prototype to series production, strong negotiation skills, and a technical background, ideally in electrical engineering, to effectively understand supply chain specifications.
