Job Summary

The Bundesnetzagentur is seeking a Telecommunications Security Expert to join their team in Bonn or Saarbrücken. This role involves ensuring the security of telecommunications infrastructure in Germany by verifying compliance with technical and organizational protection measures. Day-to-day tasks include on-site and remote audits of security concepts at telecommunications companies, processing reports of security incidents, and preparing directives to enforce telecommunications secrecy and data protection. The ideal candidate will possess a relevant technical degree, a strong understanding of telecommunications networks and services, and familiarity with German telecommunications and IT security laws. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical national infrastructure, work within a highly motivated team, and engage in national and international collaborations.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Diploma (FH) degree in Telecommunications Engineering, High-Frequency Technology, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, or a comparable field such as Digital Administration and Cyber Security.

Experience

  • Professional experience in telecommunications networks and services (ideally)
  • Familiarity with the latest developments in the telecommunications sector (ideally)
  • In-depth knowledge of the Telecommunications Act (TKG) and IT Security Act 2.0 (BSIG) (ideally)
  • Basic knowledge of administrative law (ideally)
