Job Summary

This role is ideal for an ambitious Laboratory Technician keen on elevating technology within the automotive sector, working for a leading engineering partner. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing precise 2D and 3D microscopic measurements and executing comprehensive chemical and mechanical material analyses, including techniques like Scanning Electron Microscopy with Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM-EDX). You will be responsible for conducting mechanical tensile, compression, and various hardness tests on diverse materials, followed by rigorous data analysis using specialized software modules such as Minitab. Candidates must possess completed vocational training as a Materials Tester, Physics Laboratory Assistant, or Chemical Laboratory Assistant, or an equivalent technical qualification. While initial experience in microscopic measurement technology is beneficial, familiarity with quality methods like Lean Management or Six Sigma Yellow Belt is highly desirable. Experience utilizing software-supported lab management systems (e.g., SAP, LMS) is also a plus.
