Job Summary

This role is a Chemical Technical Assistant position within the Institute for Construction Materials at the Bundeswehr University Munich, focusing on innovative research projects related to mineral building materials, recycling, and the development of alternative binding agents like calcined clays. The assistant will be responsible for conducting wet chemical analyses of inorganic construction materials (especially cement and binders), preparing and performing chemical-physical processing (calcination, grinding, drying), and executing instrumental analysis using equipment such as thermoanalysis, FTIR, and X-ray diffractometry. Key responsibilities also include conducting pore analysis (mercury porosimetry), managing hazardous substance documentation, and assisting with chemical practicals. The ideal candidate must have a completed vocational training as a Chemical Technical Assistant or equivalent, possess proven knowledge in instrumental and wet chemical analysis of inorganic materials, and demonstrate strong German (C1) and English (B2) language skills.
