Job Summary

This remote Medical Chemist role involves spearheading drug design strategies within early pharmaceutical research for a global leader in the pharmaceutical and crop protection sectors. The professional will be responsible for optimizing lead structures by integrating SAR/SPR data, ADMET properties, and target selectivity. Key daily activities include applying computational design methods, such as Schrödinger Live Design, interpreting biological test results, and collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams across biology, pharmacology, and patent law. The role requires strong project management skills to coordinate international projects and external partners (CROs), contribute to strategic project planning, and produce scientific documentation and patent applications. Ideal candidates possess a university degree followed by at least five years of advanced training in clinical or medical chemistry, profound knowledge of drug design, and experience in therapeutic areas like cardiovascular diseases, oncology, and immunology.
