Job Summary
The University of Rostock is seeking a dedicated Research Associate for a three-year, part-time (30 hours/week) doctoral position within the DFG-funded International Research Training Group (IRTG) 2676 "Imaging quantum systems (IQS): photons, molecules, materials." The associate will be responsible for conducting research on a specific scientific project within the IRTG, aiming for scientific qualification (PhD). Key duties include publishing research results and the possibility of a multi-month research stay at a partner university in Canada (Ottawa or Calgary). Candidates must hold a completed university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Quantum Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, preferably with excellent results. Strong knowledge in experimental or theoretical Quantum Science, excellent communication skills, and fluency in written and spoken English are essential for success in this interdisciplinary, international research environment.
