This role is for a proactive Commissioning Technician or Engineer focused on bringing large, sustainable energy storage solutions online for commercial, industrial, and grid infrastructure clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing final commissioning after assembly, generating detailed protocols, parameterizing components, and establishing communication links using specialized software like Wago e!Cockpit and Codesys. A key part of the job involves detailed fault analysis and troubleshooting through software and configuration adjustments, acting as a liaison with the programming team to continuously improve plant control systems. Candidates must possess a background in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field, coupled with initial professional experience in inverter and battery technology, automation, and PLC programming. The position offers significant flexibility, including home office options and a modern company car (for private use), but requires high travel readiness to project sites across Germany/Europe.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Electrician, Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician, further training as a Master Craftsman, Technician, or an electrical engineering degree

Experience

  • Initial professional experience in inverter and battery technology
  • Experience with Technical Connection Rules (TAR)
  • Experience in process engineering and automation
  • Professional knowledge of PLC programming, Modbus TCP/IP, and classic battery applications (e.g., self-consumption, peak shaving, island grid, and control power)
