Job Summary

This critical role involves leading and managing the acceptance testing process for complex rail Signaling and Control Technology (LST) projects. The Expert Inspector is responsible for conducting thorough inspections of LST systems, ensuring strict adherence to underlying legal and technical regulations, including the verification of component usability and approved hardware/software deployment. Day-to-day tasks include leading the inspection team, drafting formal inspection reports and expert opinions, and providing technical consultation to project engineers. A key aspect of the role is maintaining quality assurance throughout the planning and construction phases and mentoring junior staff. The position is attractive due to the opportunity for continuous professional development in both legacy (e.g., SpDr S 60) and modern technologies (ESTW, ETCS) and the chance to work autonomously on vital rail infrastructure projects. Success requires mandatory certification from the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) and a willingness to perform occasional site work during non-standard hours (nights/weekends).
