Job Summary

This role is for a skilled PHP Engineer to join the dynamic Tech & Product Team, focusing on developing scalable and robust backend solutions for Kaufland's rapidly growing international online marketplaces. The Engineer will take full ownership of the feature lifecycle, from initial design and clean coding through to testing, deployment, and production monitoring. Success in this position requires a background in IT or a related technical field, coupled with solid practical experience building mid-to-large scale PHP backends. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of APIs, databases, messaging brokers, and containerization technologies like Docker. The position offers exceptional flexibility, allowing the successful candidate to work fully remotely within Germany or from one of several office locations (Cologne, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, or Berlin).
