Job Summary
This is a pivotal leadership role within the Overath City Administration, managing the Deep-Level Construction and Waterways Department. The successful candidate will lead a team of 15 staff, overseeing critical infrastructure management, including the planning, steering, and monitoring of roads, cycle paths, and utility networks. Daily responsibilities involve ensuring traffic safety, managing deep-level construction maintenance, and leading complex project management tasks such as tendering, construction supervision, and quality control. A key focus area is water body planning, encompassing renaturation, flood protection measures, and the operation of water management facilities. Applicants must possess a Master's or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Environmental Technology, coupled with strong expertise in deep-level construction, roadworks, and public/procurement law. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed scientific university degree (Master or Diploma) in Engineering, specifically Civil Engineering, Environmental Technology, or a comparable technical degree.
Experience
- Leadership experience and competence
- Professional experience in deep-level construction, flood protection, water body maintenance, and road construction
- Knowledge of public law and procurement law (Vergaberecht)
- Experience in coordinating with external bodies and authorities
