Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position as an IT Systems Specialist is based in the vibrant regional center of Backnang, supporting the local municipal administration. The core focus of the role is maintaining and optimizing the city's IT infrastructure and applications. Day-to-day duties involve managing central software distribution, administering Mobile Device Management (MDM), and overseeing comprehensive user and authorization management. The specialist will also be responsible for administering Microsoft SQL and Terminal servers, providing support for municipal applications, and actively participating in IT project planning and execution, including creating technical documentation. Successful candidates must demonstrate fundamental knowledge in software packaging, scripting, Microsoft Server and Client environments, and virtual systems. A degree or equivalent qualification in System Integration or Application Development is required, along with a readiness to occasionally work outside standard business hours.
