This role is for an Environmental Engineer specializing in water management, nature conservation, and landscape maintenance within the Borken district. The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing EU Water Framework and Flood Risk Management Directives, advising on third-party water management and landscape projects, and coordinating county-owned water and landscape initiatives. The position also involves participation in cross-border water management projects, implementing landscape plans, and providing guidance on nature conservation funding programs. Required Skills
Education
Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a focus on Hydraulic Engineering, Water Management, Civil Engineering, or Landscape Maintenance, Landscape Planning, or Landscape Ecology (Dipl.-Ing. FH, Bachelor or Master) or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in planning and executing construction and landscape construction projects (ideally)
- Knowledge or willingness to learn European and German water and nature conservation law, funding programs, procurement law, and relevant legal areas (VOB, VOL, HOAI)

- Valid Class B driver's license and willingness to use private car for business trips (with expense reimbursement)
