Day-to-day responsibilities include performing rigorous hardware tests on various systems, such as workstation PCs, servers, and peripheral devices (printers, scanners). The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining and developing the installation environment, updating operating systems, and applying necessary driver updates. Key qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or a completed apprenticeship as an IT System Electronics Technician or IT Specialist, coupled with strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server and Linux environments, including scripting.
