Job Summary
This role seeks an ambitious Research Associate focused on driving complex technology projects within a dynamic Research and Development environment. The core responsibilities involve leading process development, providing technical leadership to a dedicated project team, and formulating interdisciplinary technical solutions. Day-to-day tasks include detailed planning—creating and updating schedules, cost estimates, and capacity plans for development tasks—and conducting development reviews while reporting accurately on project status to stakeholders. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical or natural science field, and preferably possesses experience in developing optical systems and coordinating technical teams. Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed technical or natural science degree in Physics, Materials Science, or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Demonstrated professional experience in executing and managing process development initiatives, specifically within the context of complex, high-stakes technology projects, ensuring alignment with overall development goals.
 - Proven competence in the technical coordination and leadership of research and development teams, including setting technical direction, delegating tasks, and monitoring progress against established milestones.
 - Prior practical experience in the development, testing, and deployment of optical systems is highly desirable and considered a significant advantage for this role.
 - Expertise in creating, managing, and updating detailed schedules, cost projections, and capacity plans necessary for successful project execution and resource allocation.
