Job Summary

This MSAT Process Engineer, Packaging role is crucial for optimizing sterile drug product manufacturing, focusing on accelerating medicine delivery to patients. The successful candidate will leverage deep expertise in packaging technology and GMP to drive continuous improvement and shape the future of pharmaceutical production. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading or co-managing complex projects focused on efficiency gains, process optimization, and implementing innovative technologies within the packaging operations. A core function is coordinating and executing qualification, validation, and requalification activities on packaging lines. The engineer will also act as a Process Subject Matter Expert (SME) for equipment and KPIs, contribute significantly to Root-Cause Analyses (RCA), and implement new primary/secondary packaging materials and devices. This position requires a technical or scientific degree, multi-year experience in sterile production/packaging, and fluency in both German and English to effectively collaborate across all organizational levels.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Process/Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Mechanical Engineering, or similar; or Master Craftsman qualification with long-term relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in a sterile production and packaging environment
  • Relevant professional knowledge in pharmaceutical production
  • Experience in project management and qualification
  • Experience in the conceptual planning of pharmaceutical equipment/processes, packaging materials, and packaging technology
