Job Summary

This role involves serving as the organizational and technical deputy lead for a crucial IT subsystem within the German Pension Insurance (DRV) IT structure. The Application Developer will actively shape and manage tasks related to the DRV-IT rvSystem, focusing on high service standards. Core day-to-day responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and updating Cobol programs and JavaEE applications, implementing quality assurance measures, and supporting IT and business tasks within the subsystem. Success in this position requires a strong background in IT, extensive professional experience in software development, particularly with Cobol, and practical experience utilizing agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Scrum. The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills, a high degree of customer orientation, and the ability to represent the subsystem in cross-departmental IT projects and working groups, contributing to the complex IT system landscape that manages insured accounts and pension services.
