Job Summary
This full-time Scientific Researcher role, suitable for professionals holding a Master's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Mathematics, or related fields, offers a challenging opportunity within the Institute for Clinical Transfusion Medicine and Immunogenetics in Ulm. The core responsibilities involve the biological evaluation of genetic variants using advanced sequencing technologies, specifically Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and Third-Generation Sequencing (TGS). You will be tasked with translating TGS methods to analyze blood group genes and microbial pathogens, performing de novo assemblies, and validating new analytical software solutions. Success in this position requires proven molecular genetic expertise, including experience with various sequencing generations and clinical variant classification. The role demands flexibility, a high degree of responsibility, and excellent German language skills (C1 minimum) to work in a highly technical and innovative diagnostic environment.
