Job Summary
This role seeks a dedicated Civil Engineer to join the City of Schwelm's road construction department (Sachgebiet 314). The primary responsibilities involve the planning, tendering, and supervision of consumptive and investment construction measures, particularly those supporting the mobility transition and urban traffic concepts. Day-to-day tasks include managing road construction projects, maintaining engineering structures, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations (VOB/A and B, UvgO) and fee schedules (HOAI). The engineer will also coordinate complex projects between various stakeholders, review technical invoices, and respond to inquiries from political committees and citizens. Candidates must hold an accredited engineering degree (Bachelor or Master) and possess practical experience in civil and road construction, project execution, and maintenance, coupled with strong knowledge of relevant German construction laws.
