Job Summary

This role as a Grid Control Technician places you at the heart of critical infrastructure operations for the Ulm/Neu-Ulm utility company, driving regional progress in energy transition and digitalization. Your core responsibilities involve 24/7 network management across electricity, gas, water, and district heating systems. Day-to-day, you will monitor and remotely control various generation and operational facilities using a central control system. A crucial part of the job is managing incoming faults, handling customer calls, meticulously documenting disruptions, and coordinating deployment teams to ensure rapid resolution. You will also support the back-office with data preparation and system maintenance within the control architecture. Candidates must possess a completed qualification as a Master Electrician or Electrical Technician, demonstrate strong IT affinity, and be prepared for mandatory 3-shift work.
