Design Engineer R&D | Konstruktionsingenieur R&D (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role seeks a proactive Design Engineer to be a central pillar in the Research & Development team, focusing on the mechanical conception, construction, and testing of components for advanced laser projectors and modules. The successful candidate will independently manage new projects, handle series development, and ensure compliance with critical standards (CE, ISO, DIN). Day-to-day tasks include 3D CAD modeling, creating technical drawings and specifications, selecting materials and manufacturing processes, and managing prototypes through commissioning and change control (ECR/ECN). This position requires a technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automation Technology, professional experience in design, and knowledge of technical optics and system integration. Fluency in both German and English is mandatory. Note that significant travel to the UK and within Germany is required during the first year.
