Job Summary

This position calls for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join an innovative team supporting Airbus DS GmbH in Taufkirchen, contributing to critical aerospace and space projects. The core responsibilities involve the operation, monitoring, and continuous optimization of complex, modern IT systems, including L1 and L2 troubleshooting, identity management, and infrastructure implementation. A key focus is on system design, configuration, rigorous security implementation, and creating comprehensive disaster recovery plans. The role also requires driving automation efforts using scripting tools like PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform, and maintaining precise system documentation. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional training, coupled with a minimum of four years of relevant experience in IT/Information Systems. Essential technical expertise includes virtualization technologies (VMware, HyperV), Windows/Linux infrastructure management, and networking configuration (Cisco, Fortigate, MikroTik). Fluency in German and proficiency in English are mandatory for communication with customers and subcontractors.
