Job Summary

The PORT OF KIEL is seeking an IT Administrator to join their team and actively shape the digital future of the harbor. This role centers on the comprehensive administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure, including server landscapes, networks, and virtual systems, spanning from the data center to operational environments. Day-to-day tasks involve providing essential IT security, acting as the primary contact for technical questions, quickly analyzing and resolving disruptions (troubleshooting), and conducting on-site support for IT technology installed on facilities and vehicles within the port premises. Candidates must possess completed vocational training in the IT sector, such as an IT Specialist for System Integration, or comparable professional experience. Key technical requirements include fundamental knowledge of Windows Server environments, Active Directory, networking, and backup systems, with desirable experience in Microsoft 365 or virtualization. The position requires strong communication skills to clearly explain complex technical issues to diverse colleagues and mobility, necessitating a Class B driver's license to access all areas of the port.
