Job Summary

This role requires a Biostatistician or Data Scientist to join the highly qualified R&D Biostatistics department at Roche Diagnostics. The primary focus is the analysis and optimization of the technical and clinical performance of diagnostic products. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and analyzing key experiments using advanced statistical methods and Design of Experiment (DoE) techniques. You will mathematically model existing processes, utilizing simulations and optimizations to drive improvements, and ensure the operational readiness of R servers. Success in this position requires a Master’s degree (PhD preferred) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science, coupled with practical expertise in biometrical methods and data management tools. Strong programming skills, particularly in R and web technologies, are essential. This is a collaborative role, requiring proficient communication skills in both German and English to translate complex internal customer requests into tailored, solution-oriented outcomes.
