Job Summary
This position is for a Doctoral Researcher (Epidemiologist) at the Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology (BIPS), focusing on risk-adapted cancer early detection. The researcher will contribute scientifically to expanding this focus area, including cross-departmental collaboration and participation in the OMEN consortium project concerning cancer risk prediction. Day-to-day tasks involve rigorous analysis of primary and secondary data, generating scientific reports, writing English-language publications, and presenting research findings at professional conferences. The role requires a completed Master's degree in a health science field such as Epidemiology, Public Health, or Medicine, along with a strong interest in quantitative research. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent teamwork, coordination, and organizational skills. This fixed-term, part-time (70%) role offers structured doctoral training within a highly motivated, collegial team environment closely linked to a university setting.
