Job Summary

This role involves managing and advancing the city’s biodiversity strategy within the Environmental Planning Department. The Biodiversity Manager will be responsible for coordinating efforts related to landscape development, nature conservation, and species protection, ensuring compliance with environmental laws. Key daily tasks include collaborating with specialized departments, associations, and citizen groups, leading projects for implementing biodiversity measures (including cost calculation, procurement, and execution), and developing specialized conservation concepts and public information materials. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in fields such as Biology, Landscape Management, Environmental, Agricultural, or Geosciences, and possesses strong knowledge of environmental, nature, and species protection laws.
