Job Summary
This role involves the comprehensive management and maintenance of IT infrastructure for small and medium-sized businesses (1-250 workstations) in the Ulm area. The specialist will be responsible for the installation, operation, and regular updates of both internal and client IT systems, ensuring smooth and reliable performance. A key component of the job is providing First- and Second-Level Support, acting as the primary technical contact for quick and efficient problem resolution. The position requires strong technical proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365), networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN), and virtualization solutions (VMWARE, Hyper-V). The ideal candidate is a structured, analytical problem-solver with strong communication skills, ready to contribute to a successful, team-oriented system house environment known for its flat hierarchies and engaging projects.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist, a completed IT degree, or comparable qualification. Career changers with high motivation and self-initiative are also considered.
Experience
- Professional experience in the administration and support of IT systems, applications, and networks
- Experience in First- and Second-Level Support for various user groups
- Experience with virtualization solutions (VMWARE, Proxmox, Hyper-V) is a plus
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAGE) is advantageous
