Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position seeks a dedicated Food Microbiology Laboratory Technician to join a leading accredited testing laboratory in Berlin, specializing in food, feed, water, and pharmaceutical analytics. The core focus of the role is executing a wide range of microbiological analyses on raw materials, ingredients, food products, and environmental samples to ensure stringent food safety standards. Daily responsibilities include sample preparation, applying various inoculation techniques (like the pour plate method and spiral plater), determining Colony-Forming Units (CFU) for total bacterial counts, Enterobacteriaceae, yeasts, and molds, and performing enrichment and detection protocols for key pathogens such as Salmonella and Listeria. Candidates must possess completed technical training (BTA, CBTA, or equivalent) and foundational knowledge of sterile working and cultivation techniques.
