Job Summary

This role seeks a skilled Biochemist or Biologist to join the protein purification team within the pharmaceutical sector in Penzberg. Day-to-day responsibilities involve the development and optimization of complex downstream processes for providing critical enzymes and proteins, such as PCR enzymes and proteases. Key tasks include utilizing advanced cell disruption techniques (ultrasound, high pressure), various chromatography methods (Affinity, IEX, HIC, SEC), filtration, and high-throughput screening. The specialist will also be responsible for rigorous quality assessment using in-process analytics like activity assays and SDS-PAGE, documenting all work, and assisting in scaling up products for production. Candidates must possess a relevant university degree and professional experience in protein purification within a hygienic environment.
