Job Summary

This role involves working within the RAL UMWELT division, which is the sole awarding body in Germany for the Blue Angel and EU Ecolabel environmental certifications. The Chemist will independently process applications for these environmental labels, serving as the primary contact for applicants and explaining the criteria and procedures. Key responsibilities include evaluating chemical documentation such as safety data sheets, test reports, and audit reports, and communicating with relevant regulatory bodies like the German Federal Environmental Agency and the EU Commission. The position requires strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and expertise in chemical and hazardous substance regulations, particularly REACH and CLP. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Chemistry (Master's or PhD) and possess fluent German and English skills to navigate both national and international professional environments effectively.
