Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (Diplom- / Masterstudiengang) in Biology, Landscape Ecology, or a related field with a focus on nature and species protection. Master's degrees not from a university must be accredited for higher civil service access. Foreign degrees require evaluation from the Central Office for Foreign Education.

Experience

  • Professional experience in nature conservation biology, ideally with a focus on a nature conservation-relevant species group (excluding birds)
  • Knowledge of inventorying species occurring in Baden-Württemberg relevant to the Habitats Directive
  • Knowledge of relevant laws, guidelines, and procedures within the scope of duties for the department
  • Practical experience with geographic information systems (QGIS) is desirable
