Job Summary

This role involves providing environmental construction monitoring for infrastructure, building construction, and hydraulic engineering projects. The Environmental Construction Monitor is responsible for ensuring strict compliance with nature conservation requirements and relevant environmental laws (such as BNatSchG, WHG, UVPG, FFH-RL) on construction sites. Day-to-day tasks include consulting clients, engineering offices, and site management on ecological issues, communicating with authorities and project partners, and managing potential conflicts between construction interests and environmental protection. A key operational component is the implementation of species, soil, water, and landscape protection measures, including the monitoring and relocation of protected species like sand lizards. Successful candidates must hold a degree in Biology, Landscape Ecology, or Environmental Planning (or equivalent UBB certification), possess deep knowledge of species protection, and be proficient in GIS applications.
