Research Associate / PhD Student (Chemistry/Physics/Materials Science) | Chemiker (m/w/d)
Technische Universität Dresden
Job Summary
This position at TUD Dresden University of Technology is for a motivated Research Associate or PhD Student to join the interdisciplinary Research Training Group 2861 "Planar Carbon Lattices." The role focuses on developing advanced computational tools for predicting satellite features in XPS spectra of 2D framework materials, specifically extending the core-level GW+C implementation in the FHI-aims software package from molecules to 2D materials. This involves working with Green's function theory and the GW approximation, collaborating with the FHI-aims developer community, and applying the developed methods in close cooperation with experimental partners. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research in nanomaterials, aiming for further academic qualification, typically a PhD, within a dynamic and international research environment.
