Job Summary
This role is a challenging, future-oriented position focused on electrical protection technology within distribution networks, working 20 to 38.5 hours per week. The engineer will be responsible for creating protection concepts, calculating setting values, and planning, parameterizing, and commissioning electrical protection devices for high and medium-voltage systems, specifically utilizing SIEMENS SIPROTEC devices (SIPROTEC 4 and 5). Day-to-day duties include conducting recurring inspections, performing maintenance on protection equipment, analyzing network faults, and providing detailed technical documentation. Collaboration with project teams, customers, and network operators is crucial for smooth project execution. Key requirements include a completed technical degree (HTL, TU, or FH in Electrical Engineering) and fundamental knowledge of electrical protection technology. The position requires professional experience in commissioning switchgear and a willingness to travel approximately 60% within Austria for service assignments. Fluent communication in both German and English is mandatory.
