Job Summary
This role involves supporting cutting-edge research in microbiology and infection biology at the Leibniz Institute for Natural Product Research and Infection Biology (Leibniz-HKI). The successful candidate will join the Junior Research Group focused on the (Epi-)Genetic Regulation of Fungal Virulence, contributing to the development of new natural product-based agents for infectious disease treatment. Day-to-day duties include essential laboratory organization, performing routine molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, and infection biology tasks, and meticulous inventory and data documentation. This position requires strong technical expertise, reliability, and the ability to work independently within a dynamic, international team. Required Skills
Education
Completed training as a BTA (Biological Technical Assistant), MTA (Medical Technical Assistant), Biological Laboratory Technician, or Bachelor's/Master's degree in a life science field (e.g., Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology)
Experience
- Practical experience in molecular biology, microbiology, biochemistry, and/or infection biology techniques
- Professional experience in laboratory organization and independent task execution
