Job Summary

This leadership role requires an experienced finance professional to take strategic and operational charge of the Financial Accounting and Reporting section within a municipal administration. The Head of Section will lead a team of five employees, guiding their development and ensuring the effective execution of all financial processes. Key responsibilities include managing the year-end closing process, preparing annual financial statements and balance sheets in coordination with tax advisors, and ensuring strict compliance with legal and internal financial guidelines. The role also involves overseeing tax compliance (including VAT pre-registrations), maintaining asset accounting, and identifying opportunities for process optimization in accounting workflows. Candidates must possess multi-year experience in financial accounting, ideally within the public sector, and hold a relevant degree in Business Administration or a Certified Accountant qualification.
