Job Summary

The Federal Highway Company is seeking a Civil Engineer specializing in track construction (Streckenbau) to join their team in Kassel. Key responsibilities include preparing complex tender documents in accordance with German regulations (HOAI, VOB, VOL, VOF), coordinating overall projects with specialized departments and stakeholders, and rigorously monitoring construction activities to ensure adherence to contracts. A critical component of the job is the preparation, review, and processing of supplementary bids (Nachtragsangebote) under VOB guidelines. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering, possesses strong German language skills (C1 minimum), and has professional experience in construction planning and execution, coupled with expertise in relevant German contractual and procedural laws (HOAI, VOB, etc.).
