Day-to-day responsibilities involve the precise measurement of prototypes and serial components directly within the manufacturing environment, utilizing advanced tactile and optical metrology systems, such as Faro-Arms and 3D scanners. Key tasks include the visual inspection and detailed assessment of steel construction components—including welds, geometric deviations, and dimensional accuracy—against technical drawings and specifications. The technician is responsible for meticulous documentation of all measurement results, communicating deviations to the design and production teams, and supporting root cause analysis to implement immediate corrective measures. Candidates must possess a completed technical education in metrology, metal technology, or mechanical engineering, coupled with practical experience in component measurement, ideally within prototype or specialized manufacturing settings.
