Job Summary

The Municipal Services of Minden (SBM) is seeking two dedicated Engineers specializing in Road Planning and Construction to maintain and modernize the city's infrastructure. In this permanent, full-time role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of road renewal projects, encompassing planning, tendering, contracting, local site supervision, and final billing, adhering to the German HOAI standards (Phases 1-9 for traffic facilities). Key duties also include preparing grant applications for state and federal road construction funding, managing external engineering consultants, and providing expert opinions during municipal planning processes. The role requires significant external engagement, including site visits and consultation with residents and contractors. Candidates must hold a university degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Road Construction or Traffic Systems and possess several years of practical experience in municipal or consulting environments, specifically in planning and procurement. Proficiency with specialized software like CAD for road planning, tendering programs (RIB-civil, California), and GIS (QGIS) is essential for success in this demanding and responsible position.

Required Skills

Experience
