Job Summary

This role involves administering, operating, and supporting mainframe archiving systems within the Core Banking Document Management Tribe, specifically assigned to the Data Management Squad. The System Engineer will focus heavily on Mainframe environments, contributing to the optimization and automation of installation and process flows. Key responsibilities include providing technical 2nd and 3rd-level support, engaging directly with internal stakeholders, and ensuring the smooth operation of batch processing. The ideal candidate possesses a background in IT or Computer Science, strong knowledge of z/OS (including IWS/z, JCL, and REXX), and experience working in agile, cross-functional teams. This position requires a high degree of independence, service orientation, and readiness for on-call duties (7x24) and occasional weekend work, supporting a major digital partner for over 900 banks in Germany.
