Job Summary

This role focuses on developing and implementing advanced modeling and control solutions for High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) systems, crucial for grid stability and integration. Day-to-day responsibilities include modeling HVDC plants and their control systems using specific simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink, and integrating voltage-forming control concepts such as direct voltage regulation and grid-forming technologies. You will also be responsible for building HVDC plant models in PSCAD/EMTDC and conducting power system calculations, including stability analyses and reactive power assessments for energy supply networks. The position requires a Master's degree in Electrical or Control Technology, deep knowledge of power electronics, and expertise in converter modeling and control. This position offers responsible, independent work and requires fluency in both German and English.

Experience

  • Professional experience in Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable specialization (Desirable)
